Fusing is the art of overlaying and adhering glass to other glass surfaces or melting one glass directly into another.
Glass of various colors, shapes, sizes, and textures are blended together through the innovative technique of glass fusing. This integration of delicate glass work and fine art join to create an exceptionally unique effect.
The high temperature heat necessary for this process is best applied in a special kiln. Different arrays of colors, designs (ex: bubble glass) and volumes can be achieved when fusing two or more glass layers together. Enamels and powders may also be used to obtain a variety of color spectrums. Fusing is extremely popular in the interior decoration of wall panels, tables, consoles, doors, and accessory items such as bowls, dishes, and ashtrays.
